When I try to insert a photo into word, photos is no longer listed under "media" in finder. How do I get that back?

My kids have been on my computer and must have done something to it. I can no longer choose photos from "photos" (previously iPhoto) to insert into a word document. When I click insert photo, I used to be able to find my "photos" in the media section of finder under photos. The only thing listed there now is photo booth. How do I get access to photos there again?

For me this is exactly the same issue.


if from Word, Outlook for mac 2011 I want attach a picture, photos is not listed, only iPhoto and photo boot.

Also with some websites, I cannot attach pictures from photos (again only iPhoto and photo boot are listed).


This has been as from the moment I got this 'photos' program with an update. and beside that, this photos program is lousy !! iPhoto was much better.

Just for the record - I installed Office 2016 with Word Version 15.13.4, and now I am having the inverse problem. Photos is showing in the Media Browser, but my iPhoto Library and Aperture library are no longer visible:

The same goes for the Photo Browser, it is also only showing Photos and Photo Booth.
