I cannot shuffle music in my playlists on Apple TV 4

Timely reply. I just received the same exact thing in the mail from amazon. I suspect they’ve sold more than they usually do. I too need it for zone 2 speakers so its good to know it will do the trick. Now they just need to allowing iCloud playlists to shuffle and get he iPhone remote app working.

Just want to add my voice to those calling for a no-workaround way to shuffle iCloud playlists. Let's hope that fix is coming soon.

The workaround of sharing did work for me however, so thanks for the post.

I found that I can shuffle the same playlist when I get to it from "Computers" > "My Music" > "Playlists" but not the same playlist (in cloud) in "Music" > "Playlists"

Seems like dumb oversight, and it's not helpful if you don't have your computer on the same network + iTunes running.

If you go through My Computers, you can't play any Apple Music (those songs are missing from the playlists, even if the songs were "add to your music" before

Although it may work to share a playlist and then be able to shuffle it, it seems like you can't share a 'smart' playlist. My most used playlists are 'smart' and so, Apple, I still need you to you add shuffling to the new Apple TV. Come on. I can play lists with more than 250 songs in shuffle mode on old iPods even! This should be basic functionality that is the bare minimum to include. Especially when I'm paying a monthly fee to Apple Music and bought the Apple TV largely to have easier access to this service.

It's fixed!! I was just trying to figure this out this morning and then I came back at lunch to play a different playlist and noticed a 'shuffle' button at the top of the list and also all of the songs are showing up instead of just 250! Yay! Thank you, Apple. As has often happened in the past, if I just wait a bit, things seem to get worked out. I trust you are also making plans for my folders to work as well. With all my playlists scattered together (not even completely alphabetically) it's hard to find what I want).
