How to retrieve a serialnumber and IMEI from a dead iPhone?

How to retrieve a serialnumber and IMEI from a dead iPhone?

So,

without using ´Settings->About->Info´.

without having the original packaging, proof of purchase,a letter or e-mail with this information.

withoutusing iTunes.

Just only the phone itself.

Or can be another way, by using different software?

Most iPhone have reached a certain condition and not able to give a sign of life.

Whole Apple iPhone family/series with any iOS version. Maybe iPad family/series too.

Can somebody help?

Apple has nothing to do with your failure to ensure that you kept some sort of paperwork on your phone. I have the original box that my iPhone 1 came in. My current iPhones, iPad, Macs, Time Capsule, are all registered at Apple - Support - My Support Profile so I can get my serial number from there. The iPhones and iPad are all backed up to iTunes, so I can get my serial number there.

Do you not have the option to take it to your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider?

Do you?

You use your new play thing so soon as possible when you get anyone. We don't read all paper included.

There may not be asked for register or we ignore it.

There may not be asked to write down the serialnumber.

There may not be asked to keep original packing box.

It's a new iPhone, why now wondering about a possible repair and warranty coverage?

No, just charge and use.

Those were your decisions, and they were bad decisions.

Do you read all the papers included?

Do you fill in any warranty card that comes with a device?

Do you fill in any registration card that comes with a device?

Are you asked to register a device soon as possible? Are you asked to register a device first before even switching on?

Do you write down these things before you first use? Like a serialnumber, product number, type.

Do you keep the original packing box?

When you ask people around you, do they keep original packing box from their new brought devices?

When you see people throwing away their original packing box, do you asks them why they don't keep it?

Yes, of course I read the papers included in an expensive product. I don't consider my phone a "plaything", though. No, I never fill out warranty cards as they are not necessary for a warranty to be honored in the U.S. I generally register devices online as it's easier. No, I don't keep the original packaging. I take photos of the relevant barcodes/numbers and store them, along with a copy of the receipt, in Evernote for future reference. It takes about a minute to do that.

Nicely for you. Not everybody keep their original packing boxes. Like I wrote at begin from this post and I did repeat several times:

When you don't have synced once with iTunes. iTunes can't communicate with died iPhones.

Yes, I went back to shop where I brought the iPhone. Apple has to do with the problem, which is common.

It isn't my fault they invented an use a serialnumber for product and warranty lookups.

Any device that you buy, whether its a smartphone, a car, a kitchen appliance, a power tool, a TV, a DVR - virtually any product manufactured anywhere in the world - uses the device's serial number for product and warranty lookups. You need both the serial number and model number to even order parts for most appliances. For cars (and Apple products) the model number is incorporated into the serial number, which is more convenient than requiring both.

Apple provided you with all the necessary information. You were careless and lost it. Sorry.

No, I mean about the problem.

I'm not the only one.

I don't lost the serialnumber, it's still inside somewhere the iPhone.

Look it up then, write it down this time. Or ask your carrier to tell you, then write it down.

No, sometimes they called not a serialnumber, but something else. Several other mobile phone brands are using IMEI.

And guess where they place this info? Try bottom side or backside fro ma heavy electronic device.

To follow your example, brand and model from a car do appear on back. For iPhones 5 and 6 the model is shown on backside.
