No one said you needed AppleCare. The dklubu mistakenly told you to call AppleCare, but you don't have AppleCare since your device isn't registered, which it would be if you did have AppleCare.
Okay.

Bottom line, there are three different places where your Serial Number can be retrieved from - your original box, a backup in iTunes, on your Apple Profile.

These are the default places. My question is about wher can you find the serialnumber on the iPhone.
Why don't Apple put a serialnumber not on the device itself?
Since Apple uses serialnumbers to indentify their devices, instead of common used IMEI.
Apple doesn't make serialnumbers visible on outside for us. No, they put the serialnumber somewhere inside the iPhones and iPads.
Because dead iPhone doesn't respond with iTunes, on own and strange computer.

If you have none of those available, then you are just going to have to go to an Apple Store to get your device fixed.

I went to the shop where I brought the iPhone.
They don't need the original packing box and serialnumber. They just make copy from paper proof of purchase.
Also they said all user data will be deleted, so you must made a backup and have Findy my iPhone feature disabled.

This is how business is done in the Apple world. We can do nothing about that.
All we can do is provide you with your options. If you don't like it, tell Apple: Apple - Feedback.
That is all there is to say about this. Your opinion about whether it is an acceptable way to do business is irrelevant.
The IMEI numbers are used by the Cellular phone industry, but not by Apple. Deal with it.

The strange, difficult, closed world of Apple.
Yes, that's why I came here. Thank you, for giving some options.
I can submit a feedback, it doesn't make any difference. Apple doesn't listen or change it anyways.
Apple deviates from many others.
