car bluetooth problems with iOS 9 update

Since doing iOS 9 update my iPhone 5 won't reliably work in my car (mercedes benz clk with bluetooth adaptor)

previously under iOS 8 it worked perfectly pairing automatically when in car, and diverting calls to car system both incoming and outgoing all worked flawlessly even

siri would work through dashboard microphone

now it is total chaos

some times it works immediately, some times it refuses to work at all

most times it is unpredictable and often requires toggling blue tooth on and off on both phone and dashboard until ringtones heard through dashboard speaker system

what works in the morning won't reliably work in the afternoon

if tried reset phone

forget this device

repairing

not sure what else i can try

wish i could down grade back to iOS 8

The iOS Update 9.1 has solved this issue of Bluetooth pairing in my '15 MB GLA45. All previous-to-updating-to-iOS9 functions have been restored.

This may or may not be helpful. I am not experiencing the problem in my MB'15 GLA45 AMG since the update to 9.2. However, for the 3 months I did experience the issue. After calling Apple more than once, I finally was transferred to a "senior supervisory tech." She had a direct line to Apple's iOS software design team. I was emailed a detailed questionnaire, asking for the Mercedes info, radio model, software revision #, etc. It was quite lengthy and detailed and I had to call MBUSA to gather some of the info.

I am wondering if Apple has done this for any of you with GM vehicles? If they have not, on your next call, you might want to reference this post.

I have had this exact problem too. GMC 2015 Sierra, bluetooth works fine but once the phone call, speak to text are done, it plays music off either Pandora on my phone (which has been eating up my data...thanks apple) or my music. this needs to be addressed. It is very distracting while driving having to constantly change back to satellite radio. APPLE, PLEASE FIX THIS!

Have a 2015 Chevy 2500HD Silverado without the touch screen controls, but do have MyLink, OnStar and SiriusXM. Ever since 9.2 been having the issue of after any phone call the audio will revert to music on phone instead of the radio channel previously tuned prior to phone call. The update 9.2.1 did not improve the situation. Today, disabled Siri and all works as before 9.2. Made several calls and the audio always reverted to XM channel. I don't use Siri so disabling is not an issue.
