ConfigurationKitUtility.error - 0x2C3 (707)

While trying to download apps to iPad through blueprint I got an error message: An unknown error occurred while communicating with Internet: ConfigurationKitUtility.error - 0x2C3 (707).

Anyone has similar experiences with the error.

As far as I know internet connection is reliable and never down.

Best Regards,

Brando

I have this all working now. If you orig used a regular APPLE ID for your apple with configurator 1, you will now need to use a VPP (volume purchase program) ID. This means you need to re-download all your apps from the VPP store and tell it HOW MANY copies you need (even free apps). You also need to contact apple to get your paid apps from CONFIG 1 moved to config 2.

Here are a couple of things we found out when doing 72 new Ipads

-If you have to remove apps, Apple Configurator sometimes gets stuck on the syncing step. If you force quit and then reopen configurator, the app(s) will be removed and the iPads will be ready for the next step.

-Configurator is really sensitive about how many devices it can put a blueprint on at once. When we tried 16 at a time, it didn't work. The most iPads you can configure at once seems to be 8, and this morning we had to go down to 2.

-If Configurator has the internet connection problem, the only way we have been able to fix it is to restart the entire computer. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. Usually after the 2nd restart it is fine.

-Apps that aren't device assignable show up with a red "no" symbol when you add them to a blueprint. They also have windows that will pop-up when they are being synced with the iPad, so even if you miss one or two, you are notified about which apps are causing the problem.

So, I am having the same problem as well as everyone else!

I have read the threads and these are the steps that I have tried:

1.) signed out of iTunes

2.) signed out of AC2 and then logged in again.

3.) turned off the wireless and run the internet via a cable.

I am have also had to remove the profiles from the iPads as I have been getting the "The device has a restriction that prevents the installation of apps." error but this still hasn't helped.

The irony is, I am trying to deploy excel to the iPads and it have been downloaded in iTunes, but this uses the iTunes account not the VPP account. If i try and install an App from my Mac in AC2, it installs, but this not the best way of deploying.

I have had to move from AC1 to AC2 due to the upgrade to IOS9 but it seems that AC2 has a lot of bugs in it, If anyone can recommend another process to try, then I am all ears.

It would seem that Apple need to get their fingers out their bums and get this issue resolved.

Hi

I got the same error and it was driving me nuts. So i gave up and started installing the apps 1 by 1 and it turns out 1 of the apps was causing the error. In my case it was iMovie. Once i removed iMovie from the blueprint, it all installed well. There was 1 error with 1 iPad that it refused to install 1 app but that was skipable so i just have 1 iPad that dosent have 1 app... i bet its the same one that refused to connect to the wifi network.

Anyway, aside from that 1 iPad all the others installed smoothly.

In the blueprint i had preparation configuration, 30 apps and a profile. Total 17 iPads. (Used Apple Configurator 2)

All the best

Sander
