Missing radio app on Apple TV 4?
Apple TV (4th generation), tvOS
So, MyTuner App sorta works, if the internet radio is a broadcast station with call letters. Has anyone found a better app or figured out how to find internet stations and save them in MyTuner? Back to the OP, I would rather just have the organic Radio app back from Apple.
All the news and sports channels have gone. When I use a third party radio app it doesn't let me listen to live feeds of football/soccer. With the old Apple radio app I had no problems at all. Anyone know of a way to get live sports streams that doesn't come up with the copyright issue?
I have an internet radio app for the new Apple TV called The Bat Player. Feel free to give it a shot. It's customizable so you can add whatever stations you like to it. Hope it fits your needs! http://thebatplayer.fm
I have a different issue. You have to pay to use Apple Music, so if all I want to do is hear free broadcast radio, especially AM, through my Apple TV, I don't eat to have to pay a subscription fee. I will say that the Podcasts app is great, although for the life of me, I can't figure out why it shows a different set of podcasts than my iPhone does, which in terms only shows a subset of my the podcasts I get on my Mac through iTunes.
Check out the App Store. There are radio apps that are free, I use the "mytuner" app. It seems to be the best one (in my opinion) currently available...

I use The Bat Player for my internet radio on Apple TV. I love it!!! Seriously, you should check it out.
I just tried. I wanted to add a station which it didnt have, pasted in the URL of its stream, and all I got was a spinning gear. I tried chat to tell them, but it replied that no one was there, just leave the message, so I did. The assortment of stations it has built in or when I searched by category or even location didn't help. Oh well, we shall see. Thanks.
Hi Larry, thanks for checking it out.
I looked into this station and had to do some digging to find the actual audio stream, but I found it! If you open up the web interface and select "I have details about a station I'd like to add", select option 2. There paste in this url: http://54.226.208.80/entercom-wrkoamaac-64?session-id=5a0f545c25447ecac85d4a2a45 ab5c3d-64316467736769396164716276367362&user-id=5a0f545c25447ecac85d4a2a45ab5c3d
I hope that works for you!

Gabe - After pasting in the URL, there seems to be nothing to click to then get it to move ahead.
Hitting enter should take care of it!

I would tend to agree; there is a massive variety of stations from around the world.
The only snag is that when the screensaver starts, the audio ceases; pressing 'MENU' on the ATV remote to exit the screensaver allows the audio to recommence. I have raised queries on two occasions with 'mytuner.mobi' and have received acknowledgements but no signs of a solution.
Has anyone else come across this phenomenon?

AND while using Air Play to listen via device, I can't do anything else on Apple TV.
Really disappointed.
I've missed TuneIn Radio App. Even xbox has got it. The solution: I open the app on Iphone and transfer the audio to AppleTv.
