Apple TV keeps turning itself on after being put to sleep

So far my Apple TV has worked great. However, last night everytime I put it to sleep it would wake back up, by itself, after about 5min. The only fix I could find was to unplug the unit itself. Is this some type of software bug? Has anyone else had this issue?

Tech info: new Apple TV with the he Siri remote (4th gen I think)

TV is a Samsung flat screen (not sure the exact model #)

hooked up via hdmi and set to automatically turn on the tv.

It’s because your remote also controls the TV allows your Apple TV to control the TV set via the HDMI.

Go into settings for the remote and disable the ability to turn the TV on.

Then sleep the Apple TV (long hold the TV button).

Have you tried updating to the new tvOS version 10.2.1? It seems to fix some of these problems.

I had the same issues.

My problems went away once I turned off 'AirPlay' on the ATV.

A slightly better solution would be to add a "Sleep Wake Events" section to your Settings, where one could specify "Only Wake On Remote TV Button".
