My bootcamp on windows 10 is giving a black screen boot w/no startup chime. Can someone please help!

This is a sad day today because it's my birthday and I don't know what to do about my computer.

I own a Macbook Pro that's 17 inches, early 2011. It has a 1 tb sshd, 16gb of ram ddr3, with the latest version of El Capitan. It also has bootcamp. With windows 10 on it. Everything was working perfectly fine until yesterday morning it was 1 am, I was using El Capitan and I wanted to restart the pc from osx to windows 10. I selected system preferences -> startup disk and Selected Bootcamp windows. Next thing I know this happened. There is no startup chime. And the shortcuts don't work.

Yeah I found out that the motherboard was corroded due to water damage. Both Screwbox and Apple told me that. Screwbox was going to charge me 949 for the motherboard plus the installation. Apple was going to charge me a flat rate fee of 1200 bucks to replace everything. I saw a motherboard on ebay that has been tested off of a computer for only 449. And Screwbox said that it would cost 100 bucks for them to install it. That's 549.

Apple may honor the AMD GPU recall. Have you talked to anyone at AppleCare?

Like I said I already talked to Apple and the issue wasn't a recall. The issue was liquid damage to the motherboard. I wish it was a gpu issue so I wouldn't pay anything but it isn't so..nuff said.

So good news I got my pc fixed and it works like a charm. All I had to do was get the motherboard replaced.

Please ensure you have good backups of OS X, Windows and create a Windows System Restore point for future recovery.
