Can't burn DVD from FCP 10.2.2 Same problem with Compressor

I can't burn DVD from FCP 10.2.2. I have OS El Capitan.

The size of the film is apr 2,6 GB. The process starts up ok and runs up to 66%. There it stops.

I have the same problem with Compressor. Both audio file and Mpeg-2 renders successfully and it

looks like almost done. Finishing: says "waiting for disc process to be completed".

Can someone help, Thanks

Hello every one, thank you for your input.

Guess what! As mentioned above I moved over to my MBP. There I had no problem at all. I saved to hard drive and burnt

the disc from there. I also looked at the result on my TV. It,s not HD quality but it works. I wills if I can get a better result

vis Compressor. Any way, problem solved, thanks all for your support.

Any suggestion what this indicates? El Capitan issue or local on my computer? I have another iMac on repair, (exchange program

3TB fusion drive). I will make the same test on that computer when it comes back.

//Thanks again Lars

Lars...well good for you aha.

Ok so I tried moving to my MBP from the iMac...guess what..it worked ..but only once.

Deleted all renders, closed...opened FCPX

Second time got to 66% and the Create Disc app froze.

Deleted first good DVD .img then restarted MBP...it worked..but again only once.

As El Capitan no longer has 'rebuild disc permissions' in Disc Utility could it be doing it on 'restart'??

Same thing on a second iMac, delete .img then restart.

trust me i feel your pain
Along with what seems to be a slow *** 5k retina compared to my 2012 iMac I'm getting the 66% (luck if i get that far)

I've done the whole rename file, 720px longest edge back ground pic.. I've done 4 concerts with minor issues each one but this current one won't go anywhere but 66% then the disc thing hangs..
So fckn over it,.. Guess clients won't have there kids dance concert s for christmas.. fine example to now learn premiere.. **** windows move maker is probably better right now

You may well be laying the blame where it does not belong.

If you have a Retina iMac and it is underperforming a 2012 iMac, there must be other issues - I am guessing software issues.

What version of OS X are you using?

There is a small but verbal minority of users who are having (sometimes serious) issues of crashes and/or bad performance with El Capitan.

This is *almost always* caused by 1) incompatible software 2) bad drivers or 3) users having installed antivirus, or "cleaner" programs or other forms of crapware.

Odds are that if that is your problem you are not going to get it solved by switching to another NLE.
