Windows 10 Pro latest update Error (Bootcamp)

I have Windows 10 running quite fine since it's release on a Mac Mini(Late 2014) using bootcamp.

The latest Windows 10 Pro update (version 1511, 10586) gives an error after attempting to install.

Error 1: We found some issues. Select this message to fix and finish updating.

Error 2 after clicking Fix:

"Couldn't Install Window 10: This devices isn't compatible in Windows 10. Contact the manufacturer for more info.

- Intel(R) Iris(TM) Graphics 5100 Intel Corporation)"

Question:

Is this something that can be solved by a bootcamp update or does this mean going forward Windows 10 won't work with this model Mac(Late 2014)? Cause it doesn't seem to me that Microsoft will/can do anything about it.

Can you re-install the BC drivers for this device?

Well like I said, I uninstalled in AND deleted it (as per the original post in this matter). I also just uninstalled it, neither worked. If ->disabling<- is what is required, then the instructions should be updated to clarify that as they are both options.

Thanks for the follow up, but I've given up. This is a Mac, not a Windows box. Doing anything other that the most basic PC functions is pointless on a Mac Mini, IMHO. I went ahead and ordered parts to build a second Windows machine. I'll move the Mac into its own room where it can be used as a Mac as intended. Futzing with this kind of stuff on what is supposed to be a Wintel box just isn't worth the time, IMO. Which is also why I avoid Acer, Dell, HP and so on when working in the Windows world. Thanks again, cheers.

You have to uninstall the graphic driver. Disabling the driver does not work. Following the instructions worked for me but keep in mind that this is a workaround and it's not an official solution from Apple.

From my past experience Apple isn't in a hurry to provide drivers for Windows for their system. Just installing Windows 7 was an ordeal for me because of the USB3 drivers but that's another story 🙂.

if this method doesn't work for you you may have to wait until Apple releases new drivers.
