My wife just got a V325i and, after spending a bunch of time researching and experimenting, I came up with this .phoneplugin to allow iSync 2.3 to work with it. Put it in /Library/PhonePlugins (or ~/Library/PhonePlugins). Create the PhonePlugins folder if it doesn't exist.

It's not a perfect solution (sometimes some records get duplicated), but it's a foot in the door!

ISYNC ICAL WORK CALENDAR ONTO V325 CALENDAR and ADDRESS BOOK ont CONTACTS IN PHONE

First, to get the V325 to be "seen" by iSync, you will have to install the right phoneplugin. You can get it from Dr. Shenoy's web site: http://prashant.shenoy.biz/Software.html. Put the plugin in both Libraries – the hard disc lib and your Users lib in a new folder called “PhonePlugins”. I didn’t find out which takes preference. You will need a USB mini cable – or use one that came with a Canon camera. Very cheap.

Once the phone is recognized, use this workaround that I stumbled on in trying to get things to sync with iSync (Contacts sync fine (Work, Home, Mobile) so long as the phone is not Main):
1. Go to iCal and Select “America/New York: EST” time zone – top R. BACKUP DATA BASE!! Close iCal.
2. Open iSync, make sure settings are ok: Under “More Options”, select “Don’t synchronize events prior to: Today or whatever you want”. Check “Don’t synchronize events after” - can add events up to One year if you “Reset Device”. Set “Events Time Zone: Atlantic/Reykjavik: GMT”. This is essential – if set otherwise, the phone calendar will be off . Select “Work” calendar only in iSync. Meeting Maker works but Birthday and Holiday calendars won’t copy.
3. Select the V325 icon in iSync.
4. Under “Devices” menu, select “Reset Device…”
5. Shut down iSync immediately after resetting to prevent accidental automatic sync of phone and iCal. Better, deselect Calendars in iSync.
6. Contacts sync fine to the V325 address book – check Contacts: sync Cell Phone; More Options “Only sync contacts with phone numbers” and “Sync E-mail addresses”. Or you can include Contacts when you “Reset Device…” If you “Reset”, Speed Dials are changed. Better to sync Contacts. Note: phone entries in “Main” won’t sync. BACKUP DATA BASE!!
7. Addresses: make a Work e-mail entry in Address Book such as Name@streetaddresscitystatezip.com - no spaces. It will sync into a free e-mail slot on the phone Contacts.
8. If sync fails – e.g., after an event interferes with a sync, erase all events from phone calendar before resetting!!

Your solution is working for me. I only upload contacts, and I have not encountered any problems with duplicates as of yet.

Have I said thank you for your work and your sharing of it?

THANK YOU!

Why didn't Apple provide this? (rhetorical question)

Thank you so much for this... I was trying to get my ic502 (essentially a v325i) and now I can get my contacts working.

Has anyone been able to get their calendars synced?

Here we go again. This should work for the V325i also:

Once the phone is recognized, use this longish workaround that I stumbled on in trying to get things to sync with iSync (Contacts sync fine):

Resetting the calendar on the MOTO V325

1. Go to iCal and Select “America/New York” time zone – top R. BACKUP DATA BASE!! Close iCal.
2. Open iSync, make sure settings are ok: Under “More Options”, select “Don’t synchronize events prior to: 2 weeks (or what you want)”. Check “Don’t synchronize events after: One year (or what you want). Set “Events Time Zone: Atlantic/Reykjavik”. Select “Work” calendar only in iSync.
3. Select the V325 icon in iSync.

Dear jjdj:

Please do not get upset. Your comment of "here we go again" is perceived as you being upset at having to answer this question again because it has been answered many times. The only reason I posted the question was because some things did not work for me, so bear with me.

I did read the whole thread. However, there are a few things that don't work out.

First, the plugin you referred me to does not work for me. However, the one posted on my reply above did work.

The contacts sync fine and without a problem. My problem is that my calendar wont sync at all. I followed all the directions on the section you quote (except the part of setting the time zone to Atlantic/Reykjavik because I couldn't find it).

The syncing process goes fine but events don't get written on the phone

Thanks to all who have taken the time to contribute to this thread. It is appreciated.
