The website "ad.doubleclick.net" requires a client certificate when I open Safari. What does this mean? It gives me 3 certificates to choose from.

What does this mean and why is it popping up? The website "ad.doubleclick.net" requires a client certificate. It happens when I open Safari and it gives me 3 certificates to pick from. Just started today. Thus far I've been hitting cancel.

This started happening to me too about an hour ago. I did what was suggested in the comments. I force quit Safari, opened it while pressing shift, tried to delete today's history, it didn't let me, I tried all over again and it finally seems to have stopped. All I was doing online was visiting YouTube, Facebook, and Pinterest which led me to another page which I thought was the culprit but it may not have been since it was wordpress.

Update: Nevermind, it started again.

I did everything everyone said to do yesterday and it didn't work but today for some reason it has all stopped and I'm not getting that pop up anymore. YEAH!! Thanks again to those of you who gave advice and remedies!! Keeping fingers crossed that the problem has been resolved. 🙂
