Beats studio wireless disconnecting

Since updating my iPhone 6 to iOS 9.2 my studio wireless headphones disconnect when using the skip function on the headphones. When you double-click the left side pause/skip/answer button they disconnect from the iPhone. I removed the previous bluetooth profile on the iPhone and reconnected via bluetooth. Same thing happened again. I submitted a feedback request to Apple but who knows how long this will take to fix.

I've been having the very issue described in this thread. Beats wireless studio keep disconnecting. So bad that I was thinking of getting rid of them despite really liking them when they work. All started happening after updating to iOS 9.2.

Glad I found this thread. I'll try the firmware update on my Beats and hope it fixes the issue like it has for others.

I had same problems. Using Apple Music with the IOS Update 9.2, after a few songs, the beats headphones would lose connection.

I tried the firmware update on the headphones, still the same thing.

I have also tried resetting the headphones, resetting / restoring the iphone, "forgetting" the Bluetooth device.

I spend an hour with an Apple Chat Tech, we all think it is the IOS Update 9.2 not working.

If anyone knows any differently, please reply

Hello Jason - well that makes me think I am NOT crazy now... I am super techy, but know enough to be dangerous.

My BEATS say they are up to date (1.1.12) so I guess in fact they are not..

I sent this string to my senior apple chat guy... he has been helpful and this should help him understand what the newest update of IOS did to their sister company - BEATS.

If anyone hears of a way to force the new update of 2.1.8 to the beats, let me / us know

Thanks

I'm glad to read this, I swear I was going crazy as well. Working out without my beats is definitely not the same.

I spent about 30 minutes on an online Apple chat trying to get helped but it was inconclusive. A quick google search later and I landed on this thread and many others like it. Apparently everyone can't skip songs without crashing their headphones or its connection. If anyone can tell me how to force update my Beats to 2.1.8. that would be greatly appreciate, thank you!

you are very welcome, I have got a senior apple technician handling my case and a beats engineer, hopefully they will get this sorted soon! What I have also noticed is it appears to be the beats which where manufactured pre 2014 by beats them selves before Apple took over the show, you can easily identify this if you still ha the box, on the bottom it will have the best address information on and the ones which update successfully have the Apple information on, some of the boxes have been placed with a sticker over the beats address to overwrite it with the Apple address but these appear to be only when they have been sold by Apple in there own stores.
