"My card" in Contacts is not me and it won't let me edit it or delete the info. for the person listed (who happens to have the same first name as i do). Any ideas?

I have already tried to delete the information for the person listed as "my card." Because the phone thinks it is "my card" deleting the contact and/or editing the info. does not work.

This is one of these head-slapping, why-didn't-I-figure-this-out fixes once you know it. (And I didn't either.) Go to Settings, select Mail-contacts-calendar, scroll down to My Info under Contacts and tap it, scroll through the contacts list until you find your card, select it, and close.
I've already tried making another contact for myself - which will save in my "contacts" but my phone identity is still the wrong person with the wrong name and picture. I did edit the picture so it isn't her picture anymore but it reverts to her name even when I change it to mine - I took out her address, phone number, name but I can't remove her email address or her link to facebook - it is eternally linked to mine and that is extremely troubling to me! Also I hate having my phone think I'm her!!
Someone said I have to temporarily delete my FB app from my phone in order to have the ability to remove the link to the other Susan's FB messenger and her email address - although I don't know how that will free up the email address - as it is neither has a delete or change option - it is impossible to remove them - mine are on there, but so are hers! I need to get all links to her off of my card info. How do I delete the facebook app? I know how to reinstall it, but don't know how to delete it. - also how do I see if anyone answers this?
The solution listed earlier works. Just create anew
Contact. (Your name) and info. Go to controls, select the new contact you created. Now tap the phone icon, then the contact button. It should take you to your contacts and your name should appear there.
Don't bother, just delete that card.

didn't work for me. I did this at least 3 times
I just tried beginning the update on my MacBook first, then waited and watched until it updated my data in iCloud.com, then on my phone. I'm not sure it will stick, but for now it has stuck.
None of this has worked for me, and my daughter is still listed on my iPhone as me.
I made a new contact, went to settings and selected this as "my info".
I then deleted the "contacts" app, and downloaded it again. It worked. Maybe this will also work for you.
Set it up in Settings then turn the phone off then on. Just worked for me
I did that and it's still the wrong pers
My problem as others is that it won't let you change "My Info" back as long as the Facebook app is installed and linked to contacts.
delete all contact, add 1 contact with your name, turn off iPad and turn on, and problem solved 🙂
