AppleCare Student Discount Question.

Hey, I bought a MacBook Pro 5 months ago through student discount in the apple shop in Covent Garden, but I was not offered AppleCare whatsoever. This was my first Mac purchase so I was unaware of any additional purchase that could up your warranty, and for over 50% discount? I would have jumped at it.

Ive only become aware of this but it's 5 months down the line, can I still purchase AppleCare with the student discount applied? I've heard so many different things such as -

- I don't need AppleCare, as I bought my mac through student discount so I already have a 3 year warranty.

- You can purchase AppleCare with the discount applied in the first 12 months.

- You need to purchase AppleCare WITH the MacBook in order to get the discount.

Please could someone clear this up for me?

Thankyou.
