Hello,
I recently uploaded photos from my iphone, and upon previewing them in the Photos app, they showed with grey lines down the center with a mini-preview of the photo. This only happened to the first 100 or so, and the rest of the photos are normal.
Has anyone else encountered this or know how to fix this?
MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.2)

We just had this happen to us, destroyed hundreds of photos off a brand new iPhone 7. We have 43000 photos in our library, and have been doing this across dozens of phones for every version of the iPhone.
Saying "it is most likely a problem with your system or your work flow" also helps no one.
This is incredibly frustrating, we just lost photos from several trips and events.
Same problem here. Just noticed that about 20 photos taken a few months ago have the gray line. They were fine when I uploaded them to the Photos. Perhaps a recent update corrupted them?
Tried everything possible to fix this and still nothing as of yet.
APPLE, can you please help? I have so many valuable vacation and family photos I don't want to lose.

Apple isn't here. This is just a user to user forum. All experiencing this problem should let Apple
know via https://www.apple.com/feedback/photos.html.
Then try to import the photos again from the iPhone. frequently the second import goes well. and check the imported photos by viewing them enlarged, before you delete them from the iPhone.
That's what i'll do for now, it is just a real pain. Hopefully this bug gets resolved soon. I submitted a report to the photos feedback page.
