Just because something can be found on the Internet with a Google search does NOT mean it is true or trustworthy. There are tons of IMEI lookup sites, and every single one is a scam. The fact is that nobody actually has access to all the data necessary or a universal list of device hardware IDs as those with that data (manufacturers and carriers) do NOT make that data publicly available.

If its locked don't buy it. Sorry to hear this happened to you.

There is no legitimate place where you can look up an IMEI and get valid information, except from Apple or the carrier the phone was associated with. The sites that purport to give you information based on IMEI are all scams.

Same situation here. I checked and the phone is not blacklisted. So did you find any help with yours.
