My mac didn't come with Quicktime so i downloaded /Users/tamileelavallee/Downloads/QuickTimePlayer7.6.6_SnowLeopard.dmg I'm not sure if it was the wrong one because it won't open at all

My mac didn't come with Quick Time I am trying to record a short video. I downloaded something off of Apple web site Quick Time Player 7.... Snow Lepord.dbg?? please help

Double click on QuickTime in the folder you are currently in, a Finder Window will open, when it does press the button marked 'Done' and QuickTime will load, then go to the file menu and open it. New Audio Recording will be the second entry down.


If you don't know what the File Menu is, please ask. Follow the instructions, exactly, Don't deviate from them at all.


The first screenshot you posted was NOT the Applications folder, the second one (despite what you say) is.
