Can't mount external USB SSD drive after shutdown

Loner T you out there!?? ;-) I have a MBP running Bootcamp/W10 and sometimes boot off of an external USB SSD drive. The other day the laptop powered off (I forgot the power cord wasn't plugged in) and now the drive shows in Disk Utility but is greyed out and I don't see it in finder when I powered back up. I did a First Aid on the drive and it checks out fine and did try to unmount it and mount it through the command line. Thoughts? Thank you!

You can put the SATA drive in an enclosure and choose connectivity port options, including eSATA, FW, USB3, etc.

Check the OWC web-site for enclosures, which offer USB3, FW800 and eSATA enclosures.

Welp after all the drama Loner T I just think for some reason beyond my brain the Apple Monitor just looks way better than the ASUS. The MDP to DP actually ended up working but the quality isn't what I expected so back to the ol' LG IPS or sticking with the Apple Monitor. Derrr.. I assume the monitor really is meant to run at the 3K/4K'ish ranges but dunno. Maybe a Dell?

This should work, but it is not a 4K monitor.

I am just thinking is it worth it to wait a couple of years until my Mini and MBP die just to get 4K? Is 4K that much better? I definitely will not be able to afford the 5K monitor when it comes out. I am pretty happy at 25xx..

Less than 4K is also fine. If you do not run heavy-duty high resolution graphics, lower than 4K is fine.

Sorry but forgot to ask - So if I go non-4K will I still need MDP to DP? For example that monitor I sent earlier only has one DP.

DP should give you the best possible resolution.

So to confirm if I go with this type of non 4K monitor I still won't be able to use HDMI? If so I would then need to find a monitor with two DP's which are more rare. 😐

You can also use DP and HDMI separately. The resolutions will depend on the connection.

I was planning on trying the Apple MDP DVI Dual Link Adapter.... Hoping this will work.. ;-()
