DaisyDisk

Good day!

As part of an Apple diagnostic when I needed to re-index my hard drive, I ran a trial version of DaisyDisk. I have less than 200 GB used on a 500GB spinning hard drive. Mid 2012 MacBook Pro, 10.10.5.

The Apple Support person said they've never seen that app take 5 minutes to run. But then never followed up, so I have no idea if he's right or wrong.

The Genuis Bar ran an MRI and the drive is good. Although it was sluggish.

Does anyone out there use this utility and can advise?

Thanks in advance!

Regarding the swaps, you do not have to go to the trouble to open other applications to test for it. Just use your Mac and when you use Photos, check to see if there are any if the MBP starts to slow down.

As far as importing photos from your iPhone, post a new discussion on the iPhone forum. I do not have one so I am in no position to offer and meaningful advice.

Ciao.
