APPCRASH-CoreAudioToolbox.dll

Hi, I am writing this question for the nth time since I never had a perfect solution to this problem a month ago.

I don't know how Apple works on their customer's concerns but the very fact that every time I open discussions and see this problematic "CoreAudioToolbox.dll" issue with other users, I can almost assume that the Apple guys are not doing their jobs.

It is very alarming and disappointing that Apple cannot provide a perfect solution for a software they made. Most of us with this problem have to go the exhausting process of uninstalling, reinstalling, and downloading multiple itunes softwares, trying to look if it would work and see the whole system crashing again.

I was an avid fan of Apple before but seeing how things work in here, I cannot help but envy Android users and how simple they manage their devices.

I just want to do a simple task, a very simple task: TRANSFER MUSIC FILES FROM MY PC TO MY IPHONE. That's all.

How can this very simple task irritate and stress the **** out of me and how this problem does not affect you is just disgusting.

Once and for all, please, please, please fix this f*cking CoreAudioToolbox.dll issue (Im trying to be professional on talking to you guys but how you respond to us, how you treat this problem and you make a solution is very unprofessional of you 🙂)

So here goes the problem (as I would have to retell again and again)

I have an Iphone 6s plus with IOS 9 I purchased last December as a replacement to my Iphone 5s. After I downloaded the latest Itunes software which happened to be 12.3.2.35 for Microsoft Windows 7 64 bit version, I opened it and it wont run. I tried troubleshooting on my own but still, it didn't work. Then, I tried uninstalling, reinstalling and downloading another software, Itunes 12.3.1.23, but still and still, it won't work. I also downloaded 12.3.0.44 and just the same problem occurs: f*cking COREAUDIOTOOLBOX.DLL .

With desperation in mind, I tried reverting to older softwares, specifically 12.2.2.25. Itunes launched but when I connected my IPhone, it said that my Iphone cant connect/sync/work or whatever you call it because it needs 12.3 or later. Now tell me, what am I supposed to do? All I wanted was to transfer music files and this is what I got. Wow. Apple's customer service is this bad?

I am attaching a copy of the problem, my PC's specs and my Iphone's below:

Such errors can usually be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of from the programs and features control panel. CoreAudioToolbox.dll is part of Apple Application Support and can normally be found in

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support or

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.

The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try theiTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for performance issues or compatibility with third party software.

Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

Man, I tried to. God knows I tried. I read all about your article. With the length of time I spent troubleshooting, I had already memorized the process but none of it works. I need a solution to this problem. Something that can fix all of it, Like a replacement file for COREAUDIOTOOLBOX.DLL that would work or a new itunes software 12.3.something that I can just install, I dont know. Its Apple's job. I just want to transfer my music files. THATS ALL.

What does this f*cking COREAUDIOTOOLBOX.DLL do? And why does it make Itunes on my PC crash? I even tried to replace CoreAudioToolbox.dll file on 12.3.2.35 with the one on 12.2.2.25(because it is working) only to fool myself that it wouldn't crash.

This is not an isolated case. I read all concerns same as mine and I saw you replying that same line again and again.

Please provide me a definite thing I can do.

When did you download 12.3? There was a silent update around the 23rd/24th that still has the same version numbers but included some recompiled code. Ostensibly this is a fix for flickering problems that some users were having but it might have an impact on your issue if you were using the original version of that release.

Failing that try the contact forms at https://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ and let Apple know that the usual uninstall everything and reinstall trick isn't working for you.

I don't know the precise role of CoreAudioToolbox.dll within iTunes. My assumption is that crashes are triggered when an old version isn't properly replaced during an update which is why the advice to remove the file and repair the component. I'm not sure I can recall anyone stating that either that or a full tear down and rebuild has not helped with this specific error.

CoreAudioToolbox.dll error message

Try to look at this link, his problem was never solved. I downloaded all 12.3 softwares just last night. I had Itunes installed before on my old PC and it worked perfectly.

This is a new PC I am using right now. Even last December when I first installed Itunes 12.3, it didn't worked. So I don't think the crash is triggered when an old version isn't properly replaced because this was a fresh PC and Itunes was never installed before so there is nothing to replace.

Thanks for the help man but I think I just have to wait for the next update or the next answer. There is not much I can do anymore.

No particular suggestions on brands. 64-bit. Windows 10 looks better than Windows 8, though I think I still prefer 7 (not that anyone will still sell it). 4Gb of RAM or more, ideally a system you can upgrade later if you want to. (I bought myself an older Mac mini last year because the current models have the RAM soldered in 😟 ). Apple's blurb from the iTunes download page...
