iPad Pro control centre swipe problem.

I can't consistently swipe up the control centre with my new (still within 14 days) iPad Pro. This only happens in portrait mode and only above the home button side (if I rotate it 180degrees it works fine, but then the notification centre won't work from the home button side.

After a hard reset it started to work again, only to stop within minutes. Initially I bought it was only stopping working in certain apps (ProCreate and Safari) but now it seems to stop working everywhere.

Has anyone e;she experienced/fixed this? I would assume it was a hardware problem if it weren't for the fact that a reset can fix it for a while.

I tried to remove my case, but it made no difference.

I do still believe this is a software problem - at least for me. I installed ios 10 beta a week or two back, and after that I have not had this problem. So.. let's hope ios 10 finally solves this annoyance!

SInce the problem persisted with even the Apple silicon case, I contacted Apple again because I needed to use a case and this time they said it sounded like a hardware issue. I was within my Best Buy return period so I got a new one and haven't had any problems with it.

i had this issue with my recently purchased ipad pro 12.9. however, it only affected my ability to pull up the control center. i discovered that the problem is completely eliminated when i start my swipe from the bezel instead of the bottom of the screen. swiping from the bezel is unnecessary for all other screen-edge based functions, but it has been 100% reliable for launching the control center for me.
