Music App won't open after updating to iOS 9.2.1
Just updated my iPhone 6S+ to 9.2.1 and now the Music app won't open. It just gives me a picture of a woman wearing a pair of Beats but nothing else.

Did a full back-up and restore and now it seems to be working. Waiting for all my data to be re-installed.
Nope, still not working for me even after trying all the suggested above. Really upset with myself for upgrading to 9.2.1, and I thought it was safe to upgrade since the darn pop up message would come every day telling me to upgrade, just got sick of it and upgraded and now NOT ABLE TO LISTEN TO MUSIC STATIONS.
I guess i will be force to install Google Music - just sad.
that didnt work either. When going from Settings - Music - Join Apple Music. Yes, that pulls up music with the option "GO TO MY MUSIC", but then when starting radio station it goes into the same loop with only "NOT NOW" option when asking to subscribe.
SO BASICALLY NO WAY TO RUN RADIO STATIONS ON 9.2.1 update - please do your self a favor and don't upgrade.
The same thing happened to me today. I believe this is the issue. If you have the Music app configured to not use cellular data, it just hangs during start-up while attempting to connect to Apple Music. When I switched to wifi, the app opened normally. I suspect that if you allow the Music app to use data over the cellular network, this problem would go away. But still, this is way unacceptable to have a bug like this in a dot-one release.
Wow, my post blamming apple was deleted. Go figure.
I'm having the same problem, going on Wifi didn't help and in addition to that, beats radio station keeps getting pushed back into recently played even though I've clicked other stations. It is forcing itself into the second space, very intrusive, like adware.
If this post gets censored too then I'm posting to youtube with this BS.
I just read that Apple closed its itunes radio for free users, but also for match subscribers on the 30th of Jan. They never told me they're taking away half of what I pay for. Now the only streaming is Apple Music and beats. Time to call them for a refund, and move to another company.

As of last Friday the 29th, there are only a few free stations other ones take you to the sign up page.
From the article above "There seem to be a few exceptions. With live broadcasts of music picked by DJs, the Beats 1 station is still accessible. I can also listen to news stations such as BBC News, NPR and ESPN. But all the other music stations I tried were unavailable unless I popped for an Apple Music subscription"
Too bad I already paid for Match, which included radio until now.
TThanks so much as this also worked for me I tried the other way but it wasn't work then tried your way and it worked
So do I really have to do the full reset in order to get my music life back?
Wasted enough time here already...whoever is responsible for this bug,
1. Pack your **** up
2. Leave the company
3. Before you leave the company, at least apologize for wasting our time.
Please i have been searching the "Show apple music" on my device but i cant find it i really need help. How can i make mine work?
