iOS 9.2.1 sound/alert issue

I stopped getting notification sounds for text messages on my 6Plus with 9.2.1. After checking lots of different settings I discovered that it was the sound I had chosen (Blues) that wasn't working. Simply selected a different sound and now it's working fine....

Even when I have not touched any settings, one minute the sound works, the next it doesn't. I've been playing various games and had the sound completely stop and restart several times over the course of a few minutes. Same exact situation with iphone and ipad.

I just had the same problem. Sound bars reading max. No Siri, barely heard music, no key click or off sound. Did a hard reset. everything is back. IOS 9.3.1.

i have this problem on my iPhone 6 every time i download the new software. Its not just the text and IMessages, its phone calls and voice messages as well. it also does not vibrate or alert my iWatch. Very Very Very frustrating. i have missed several important calls because of this.

thesis the problem exactly but reset is not working. i've reset twice. the reset fixed the connection between my watch and phone, the watch rings even when set to silent now. if i enable forwarding to nearby devices i get phone and text alerts on my mac, but still nothing on the phone. this is a huge problem as i use this phone for business.

I had tried all of these before and none of them seemed to work but then I decided to try resetting my network settings and it worked! I have my sound back! Hope this works for your guys too!

Took mine in to the "genius" bar, and am back home with the same exact problem AFTER they erased the phone TWICE and advised me to come home and try to restore from backup. An hour and a half there and still no alarm and no sound when text messages pop up. Sometimes not even a number next to the message icon.

I really need an alarm clock. Their only suggestion was to erase the phone and setup as NEW. When you setup from an old restore from iCloud, apparently, some "bug" SOMEWHERE (could even be a corrupt file in an email) turns the alarm off again.

CHOICES:

1. Keep 90% of the items I have worked so hard to accumulate on my phone (minus alarm and text message notifications).

OR

2. ERASE phone again and start from scratch, losing ALL of my contacts, text messages, notes, etc. I do not have enough room on my computer to backup so iCloud is my only option. 😟

Just an FYI, since installing IOS 10 I've had no problems (actually it may have been since a late IOS 9 install).

Same issue, have no sound when sending or receiving texts, I've rebooted and checked all settings! Very frustrating!
