URLs not working in Safari or Mail after iOS 9.2.1

After updating my iPad Air 2 iOS 9.2.1, I experienced Safari crashing when trying to open a new tab. I solved this problem by disabling Search Engine Suggestions and Safari Suggestions in Settings, as recommended. However now, if I've done a search, I cannot open any of the links in that search. If I type a specific URL in the Search Box, then I can open the page, but am unable to sign in, use any links from that page, etc. Also, I find that I am unable to open any URL links that I receive in Mail and tapping on a link then locks up Mail... I have done a full sync to my iMac, which can sometimes rectify a problem, but it hasn't helped in this instance.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Good to see this is a community wide issue. it is not linked specifically to ios9.3 as it started with me after I saw the original notification that 9.3 was available but had not downloaded it let alone installed.

So it was present in 9.2.1. Switching off java makes no difference, hard restart makes no difference, so just living with it till Apple sort it.

Hope it gets sorted soon

I have this problem too. I'm on an iPhone 6s on iOS 9.2.1 and hadn't updated to 9.3. However I did have Booking.com installed, which I have now deleted. I've tried turning off Javascript and rebooting, but it hasn't made any difference. I have swapped my search engine to Bing in Safari, and those links work, but the links within iMessage and Mail still do not which is a real pain - pressing a hyperlink just causes the apps to freeze. So I then installed CloudMagic for my email temporarily and links work within that app.

I will just wait it out until Apple release a solution/iOS update. Meanwhile, fed up of wasting time messing around with my iPhone 6s, I have put my sim card back into my old iPhone 5s and am using that perfectly normally. It doesn't have Booking.com installed, it is also on 9.2.1 and doesn't appear to have the problem. Hope Apple sort this quickly.

i have the exact same issue and Apple has not answer....it goes beyond now my IP 6 is slower since that issue....My iPad air same iOS 9.3 update works perfect.

I realized that logging in with the Facebook account to some apps acted weird....i am sure that has something to do with some file corruption and javascript fuc.k.ing up.... Since i do not use my pad to login to new apps this way and it is working great.

facebook retiveres every personal info they can thru that easy way of logging in .....this has to be addressed ...the Zuck doesn't seem to learn that he should stop steeling personal info by thinking people are dumb and be richer.
