Bluetooth won't connect after iOS 9.2.1

Since upgrading to iOS 9.2.1 I have been unable to pair my iPhone 5 to BMW's Bluetooth communication system for hands free telephone calls. I have turned the phone off and back on, toggled Bluetooth off & on, deleted the pairing and re-tried, disabled Siri and have reset all networks, all to no avail. Bluetooth is working fine in my wife's Ford and streaming to a soundbar also works; it's just the BMW connection.

I have read that Apple has upgraded its Bluetooth protocol ahead of others, which may require software upgrades to certain other devices. Whilst I understand software upgrades are possible in BMWs manufactured since 2010, this doesn't help me with my 2008 vehicle (3 series). I'm hoping iOS 9.3 will fix this problem as I am not willing to pay for a BMW technician to alter their inbuilt software to match Apple's (nor should I have to buy a new car to match my phone!). Can anyone shed any light on this issue? I'm based in the UK.

I have tried all of the above as all in my X3 to no avail. I will be trying the forget all network settings option to see if that works. Can anyone think of anything else. I do a lot of work phone calls on my commute and this will seriously impact my work day if I can't get it to work.

In January I had to switch to Verizon from AT&T because there is no AT&T service where I now live and work. I had to buy a new iPhone and went with the 6s. I previously used the 6Plus. I could listen to anything on my iTunes while connected to the Ford SYNC through the USB port in my company vehicle (2015 Ford F250 Super Duty) before; now, with the new phone I can play about 20 seconds of one track before I get "bad playlist" or "no USB device". And that is if it picks it up at all. I will be keeping an eye on this thread with hopes a solution is revealed soon! Otherwise there will be no reason for me to keep paying for Apple Music!

Anyone seen any progress ? I have been well caught out. My screen failed on my iPad 4. From reading the forums, I now suspect this was caused by the update to 9.2.1 although it was some weeks later. My supplier Vodafone knew nothing of this. So I got a new iPad Air. While I was waiting for the new iPad, the old one ran its battery down and was restarted. After a couple more restarts all worked fine. When I got the iPad Air its Bluetooth refused to connect to my Apple Keyboard via Bluetooath or my Otone Infiniti Bluetooth speaker. I tried everything. On-off, closer, power on, etc etc. Then I thought I would disconnect the IPad 4 from the speaker to see if that was blocking it. NOW I can't connect the speaker to either iPad. Help!!!
