Album artwork is incorrect on Iphone 6s

Ever since i purchased my iphone6s everything has been working great! However over the past few weeks my music has started acting up a little bit. All the songs I have downloaded play perfectly fine, however, when I add them to my phone the album artwork is completely wrong. For example - I would add a song by Drake to my phone, and it would attach album artwork from Mac Miller. I've tried deleting and re-adding the music but it just picks a different album cover each time. All the artwork is completely fine in my iTunes as well.

Any help would be amazing!

Wow indeed. You certainly could use a refresher course in reading comprehension as well. I too used a pertinent qualifier 'it seems'. And in your case I don't even need to grossly oversimplify your comment("Wrong") in a demeaning way as you did with mine seeing as yours achieved that tone in it's original form. And I graciously accept your not at all transparent attempt to make yourself look like the bigger person by giving me the last word. I apologize for so selfishly attempting to help anyone who might have encountered my same situation. I will truly have to reflect on my actions and find a way to be as selfless as you so that some day I too can start and finish a sentence with one singular eloquent declaration "Wrong."! Maybe then I will have earned the right to be worthy of the title of "saviour" as you so astutely pegged me as being. Thank you again for humbly yielding me the last word and I'm sure all those who find their way to this discussion will find your replies to my original post extremely helpful!

Totally agree, I have the exact same problem as you. I have to delete all songs from my phone, and re-add every thing every time I want to update the library, even if I am only adding 4-5 new songs, this will mess up the album artwork for the rest of the library. As I have/am OCD, I spend HOURS sorting out my itunes perfecting the info and artwork perfect, so when you have spent a lot of time organising it only to find it messes up as soon as you add to a device it is extremely demotivating.. I need music on the phone and that is why I have an iPhone.

Just purchased the 7 and hoping that the issue doesn't continue, however reading these comments it does not look like apple have done anything to address or resolve this. I only have one apple ID and all of my songs are ripped from CD's or downloaded.

Has anyone got any more tips to try?? And no more sarcastic comments please Brymancarey, we're all trying to get to the bottom of the same issue.

Thank you 🙂

Hi Stella, at the moment there doesn't seem to be too many great options for those who are experiencing the issue with ripped album art. If you're desperate enough to spend $25 a year you can try subscribing to iTunes Match and allow Apple to match your library in the cloud. At least in this scenario you may be able to use my original posts steps to redownload your music directly from your iPhone using the album art associated with the tracks in Apples music catalog. This way any time an albums artwork gets messed up from adding new tracks or something you can just delete the affected album and redownload it from the cloud with the correct artwork. I'm not entirely sure this solution will work for you, but again, if you're desperate it may be worth looking into. Good luck. I hope you find a solution.

Wrong again, as I have the same issue. Also if you read some of the previous post's, people, like myself, make it very clear that this is a issue with Apple music turned off, music on the app is music NOT purchased through Itunes, and it has the correct album art on the pc/mac in Itunes. You dont have to apologize, its just insanely frustrating to come across a post where someone is saying...."The issue is caused by syncing music to your device that was purchased from multiple Apple ID's." Or.......Its being caused by Apple Music being turned on.........or.....It only affects music purchased through Itunes.

Well, I have only one Apple id.......Im not syncing any Itunes purchased songs.......Apple Music is turned off....etc. Glad you got it resolved, though.
