I have a MacBook (2008) unable to upgrade from os x 10.7.5 to at least 10.10 so I can update my Quicken for Mac. When I tried to upgrade, it said it could not be upgraded and when I clicked on "Learn more" tab, it didn't go anywhere. My memory usage has 16.59 remaining space. How do I do the update? What can be wrong w/ my computer.

From another unrelated post, how can I post a rather large Installer Log for peer review and then get our peers to attempt to discover what went wrong during a failure to install by reading the Log?
MacRumors allows for long postings by use of a "sub-post" feature that is scrollable. I cannot seem to figure out how to do this on this forum.
Where is the best sub-category topic on this forum for such review?
