Vertical flickering lines and unresponsive screen on my IPhone 6 Plus.

My iPhone 6 Plus keeps on having weird flickering grey/white vertical lines that drag down from the top of the screen on a regular basis, it only stops when I hit it in the back really hard and sometimes my iPhone screen is unresponsive, I wouldn't be able to click on any apps that I want to and sometimes the Phone would open up another app.

Another thing is that when I pressed on the top of my iPhone screen , I see these white lines that look like there's water in it which I suspect it does. My AppleCare expired recently and I'm nervous to go into a telephone shop to get it fixed because I have no knowledge on how much it will cost.

Please help me.

My 6+ started this last week. Apparently, it's a well known hardware problem to Apple - Touch Disease. Also, they just don't care. The odds are good that there will be a class action lawsuit at some point to force Apple to offer a solution, but until that time, you and I may be stuck with a very unreliable phone.

Here's a link to an article - if they don't remove it. http://ifixit.org/blog/8309/iphone-6-plus-gray-flicker-touch-death/

Yours (and many others) has a defective IC chip in it. If you are over one-year out Apple will disavow and throw you into out-of-warranty repair. Above post is wrong, this is NOT a screen issue....The IC chip was not backfilled which allows the solder connections to break, also the spot where it happens can bend which, again, can break the connections. They have fixed this on newer iterations but we are left with aftermarket repair as the only cost-effective fix (I have just started an Asurion claim on this very issue).

My 6+ was well out of warranty but I thought I'd try calling up Apple anyway.

I described the problem (and my research into it) with the first rep, who ended up passing me on to a "Senior Advisor," who was more than happy to create a repair code for me.

Without a nearby Apple store, I opted to have them send me a replacement phone by mail, and I would send mine back upon receipt. (Be aware that with this method you have to put down a payment method for the full retail cost of the replacement device, as insurance in the event you don't return the bad one; but otherwise that hold will be taken off.)

While talking to the reps, I was perfectly pleasant but I made it clear that I had done my homework on the issue and I know it to be a design flaw.

Give this method a shot. It may work for you.

It's called "Touch Disease" and Apple will not cover it under warranty or offer an extended warranty...even though it is a flaw in the IPhone 6 & IPhone 6 Plus design. the IPhone 6s does not experience this issue as Apple corrected it. Here's an article all about it!!! http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/iphone-6-to uch-problems-the-gray-flickering-is-an-epidemic-disease-1327020
