Is there any way to fix your iPhone 6 after setting the date and time to January 1, 1970?

How did u leave it with the black screen and Apple logo if you said that your device was in the reset mode? Reset or DFU mode means that there is "connect to iTunes" thing or just a black screen.
And how did you turn on your device while it was on charge if its turning on by itself then? 😕

How do you know that the battery is completely drained?

It also said that recovery was difficult. And warned against that being done. Take it to an Apple Store. You might be able to convince them to replace it for you.

DFU mode is not working and neither does the battery draining

If DFU mode didn't work you probably did not follow the instructions exactly. There's also som evidence that you have to wait a few hours after settin the date back. Specifically at least as many hours as your time zone is away from UTC (EST:5, PST:8 etc)

I followed the instructions exactly. It's not the first time I put an iPhone into DFU mode. that was the first thing I did after I bricked my phone, since I thought it should be fail proof to any software related issue. matter of fact, I was relaying on that on I took the foolish decision to change the date to 1970, cause why not?

Are you saying that, knowing that other people had rendered their phone at least temporarily inoperable by setting the date back, you did it anyway? Seriously?

how do i completely drain my battery? it doesnt turn on but it shows the low battery symbol with the charger below it, is that my battery fully drained or do i wait longer

If it still shows the battery symbol it is obviously not fully drained. But you can't actually get it fully drained. Even if it is not going to display anything it will still have enough power to keep that **** clock running

so I tried to DFU and drain the battery and everything but when I drain the battery I plug it up to my computer to reset it but it is never recognized by my iTunes account

That is because it is a fail safe to prevent the full discharge of the battery and loss of the device. It is unsafe to completely drain the battery, although an extended storage of the device without a charge of at least 50% to start with could result in a full discharge. However, that can also permanently damage the battery.

it keeps saying iTunes cannot connect to iPhone because iPhone has timed out

See this support document if your device is not being recognized by iTunes. If iTunes doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support

Generally, a timeout error has to do with USB issues. Try another USB port.
