I saw something on the internet that said your iPhone 6 would do something cool if the date was changed to January 1, 1970. I did this, and my phone will now not turn on and is constantly rebooting. If anyone here can help me, please let me know.

Are two *very* different things. One is risky and could keep your phone bricked. The other gets you a trip to the mall.
Why did you do this? You knew about the bug, you should have als knew that there is currently no fix for that. If you're lucky this is covered under warranty and Apple will replace your phone.
Your "solution" involves voiding the warranty if the warranty is still valid, and if not valid, forfeiting out of warranty service form Apple. As has been documented here, there are other ways to go about resolving the problem. And removing the battery is NOT one of them.
I fix my ipad bricked in 1970 bug the recovery is useless and an update will not help using itunes <this is the fix try it to drain your battery for a few days then charged it if you drain your battery this is equivalent of replacing or removing your battery then the date will reset and your ipad/iphone will open again i hope this will help
