Oh dear clicked the report a problem link from the email, but took me to the genuine Apple website, I could tell as it had the green lock thing in the search bar, then scheduled a call with Apple, I did the same without using the email link to Apple support and i got a conformation email from the same email (from Apple) I didn't put any card details just my name email and number, very worried though! didn't click any other links, what should I do?

You are sure that it took you to the genuine Apple site, what site did it take you to and what name shows if you hover your mouse pointer over the link in the email : Identifying fraudulent "phishing" email - Apple Support ?

If it was a phishing site did you only enter your email address, or your iTunes account password as well - if you entered your password you should change it (if you haven't already done so) via http://appleid.apple.com (What to do after you change your Apple ID email address or password - Apple Support). And if it was a phishing email, clicking on the link and going to their site may have let the phishers know that the email address is active, so you may get further phishing emails (and possibly not just iTunes)

i do think it was the genuine apple support site, it had the green padlock thing in the search bar which shows you're on a secure site and when I hovered over the link in the email it looked legitimate, all the other links were not but that one seemed to be. Also, I didn't put in my password although I have changed it now, I put in my email name and phone number for the apple call request. Not too bothered about the phishing as long as my account and details are safe, I haven't gone and done something detrimental have I ?!

As long as you didn't enter your password your account should be safe.

If it was a genuine iTunes email it should show on your account's purchase history : See your purchase history in the iTunes Store on a Mac or PC - Apple Support

(If you are a family organiser in family sharing also check the members accounts, the organiser should receive all receipts for the family)

I am a little confused because this was definitely a scam email, even checked with my bank and i haven't paid for any netflix! however yes i didn't leave my password only email etc, would any of my other accounts linked to my email be compromised? im more worried about that than any money been stolen for me. The link which i hovered over and clicked on was https://www.apple.com/uk/support/itunes/account
