Where has the Create AAC version one in iTunes 12?

I've trying to get a track I have put on an iphone 4s device, converted to be a ringtone.

In preferences, it's set to import as AAC. If I right click on the track, convert to AAC is not there.

If I try to import a track directly into the Tones folder, it won't let me. I get a nasty tone when I try in iTunes.

So I can see the track in the Music Library. How do I make it a ringtone?

Does it show and play in the Tones section of iTunes?

Is it less than 40 seconds long?

Got it. There is conflicting info. As in one place is says 40 secs, then it says 30.

It works now. Thx.
