I need a usable photo view program or app to open my photos view them, open them up in my editing software. Does Apple make such a program? Photo's doesn't work for me.

I have a 27" iMac, I do photography and videos. The Photos app does not work for me. I would like to have a program that will open my photography's let me scroll through the folder of photo's and when I find one that I need to edit in my photoshop cs6 software I can open from the folder, then save back in my pictures folder. I am now looking at the Mac Book Pro. 15" the $2499 but I need a usable photo view software. I don't want the editor, import, project, shared,etc., I only want the viewer. I have purchase different apps that does not work. The last one was the closes one I could find that I want but it quite working after about 4 days. The name of it is ( Image Viewer ) . I really want to get another Mac product because I really like everything except the viewer or no photo viewer. Please help, this is very important to me!

This is what she said in her first post:

The Photos app does not work for me

I interpreted that as well as the rest of the post to mean that she wanted to use something other than Photos, especially since she maintains her Pictures folder.

drag the photos into Preview app and use the down button to scroll. I was so excited I forgot to ask how to launch into PS.

You can simply use the import function of your editing app to get them there.

Wish I could find out if I can launch RAW images from Preview or Photos or not? This shouldn't be this hard to answer. I am still under Apple Care Plan maybe they can help.

But you can't peruse a random folder of photos from Photos. Nope.

That's what I read the OP is looking for and that is not possible, as you say. Photos cannot show anything that is not imported to the database.

That's what I read and understood at the time. My thought was however she may be willing to use the Photos structure to get everything else she wants. But others seem to feel that is not the case so I'm done with the subject.
