iMessage read reports change from read to delivered

Don't think you quite understand what he is trying to say. It goes from delivered to read. And then back to delivered afterwards. Without sending the next message.

Perhaps read the persons problem carefully before you come add in your advice like an expert

That's just happened to me it looks like they've read the message Then it's gone back to delivered does that not mean they've blocked you?

Such a disappointment. I downloaded 10.2 last night, and mine are still going from delivered to read back to delivered.

Just got a new iPhone 7 plus and downloaded iOS 10.2 and still having the same issue. I really wish apple would fix this problem.

Tested this with a friend since it only happened to me with one person. It looks like once the recipient reads the message they eventually delete it and the last message will show as delivered. It will come back as read if you reset your network settings, but it doesn't change the fact that the entire trail was deleted. Trust me on this.

I am also experiencing this problem. It started when I updated ti iOS 9.3 as well. Turns out they still haven't fixed it as I now have iOS 10.2 but is still having the same annoying problem.

Tbh, it is starting to cause serious relationship troubles between me and my bestfriend. One time it says the message has been read already, another time it will say it's just been delivered. I'll ask her via another messaging app if she saw my iMessage already (especially if there was no reply to it yet and it happens to be a very urgent inquiry/message), and she'll say she already did. We'll argue about it for a little while and I'll go back to iMessage to check if it still says Delivered and it still does! A few hours after, once we're together already, she'll ask me about it and naturally, I'll show her my thread displaying Delivered under my important message, only to see that it has already changed back to Read! Result? She'll accuse me of making everything up!

Apple should seriously solve this in the next update. Small but very significant problem.

Same thing happening to me. iPhone5 - started after an upgrade months ago. Got an iPhone 6s yesterday and it's happening on the new phone as well. Very frustrating!

Coming up on 1 year of this being an issue and nothing done yet. I have iPhone 7 plus with latest iOS and still having the issue. Will it ever be fixed??

I believe that when the person who "read" your message, deletes the entire thread. The last message sent will revert to being shown as "delivered"

This isn't the case I've just sat with the person I'm messaging as a text and no links were deleted

Yes!!! My phone does the same thing. I have a 7 Plus and I already restored my phone and my messages will say that it has been read, then 5 minutes later, it will say delivered. That is annoying. Lol

I downloaded 10.2.1 yesterday, and it seems to be fixed....fingers crossed.

I just updated to the. newest IOS and it's still happening. Text changed from "read" back to "delivered". Still not fixed.

Darn it! That's right! Mine reverted back overnight.
