Instagram does not accept my correct password

I have over 13 000 followers on Instagram and can no longer log into my account.

I had to delete the app because it was getting slow and I wanted to do a fresh install.

After that, I could no longer log in. I have the correct password (which I never changed) but Instagram insists it is not the correct password.

I have logged in 20 times a day for months, and now I can no longer log in.

How can I get my Instagram account back?

Is there a trace of the Instagram password on my phone?

I have no idea why this is happening.

Yes, I can log in using the browser on my iPhone.

I don't have to even put in my password or username. Seems to be stored somewhere on the phone.

Only the app itself stays inaccessible. I have deleted and redownloaded it several times - still, it does not recognize the correct password.

This has happened once before - I got logged out, and could not log in until it solved itself and I could.

But this time I didn't get logged out. I deleted and reinstalled the app - and then could not log in again.

You cannot talk to Instagram.

They don't have a customer service department.

I was posting here to see if anybody had experienced anything like it.

I have had this happen to me once, and then the password started working again.

I could of course do a password reset, but if the original password doesn't work, something must be wrong and I'd like to know what.

The problem with these social media apps are the millions of users. For most it works, if you you have a problem, you're stuck with it, as there is no support.

Nobody?

I also tried to find my Instagram password on my computer and on Firefox - just to make sure.

It's neither in the Firefox password manager nor on keychain access.

Also: as I could log in through the browser on my iPhone, I'd like to know which password my iPhone used as I didn't have to type it in.

WHERE ARE THE PASSWORDS STORED ON THE IPHONE?

I still cannot log into Instagram. Correct password rejected.

Believe whatever you want, I don't care.

This is an Apple support forum. NOT an Instagram support forum. No one here can fix your problem.

You don't have to believe that if you don't want to, but refusing to believe the truth will not alter reality in any way.
