Instagram does not accept my correct password

I have over 13 000 followers on Instagram and can no longer log into my account.

I had to delete the app because it was getting slow and I wanted to do a fresh install.

After that, I could no longer log in. I have the correct password (which I never changed) but Instagram insists it is not the correct password.

I have logged in 20 times a day for months, and now I can no longer log in.

How can I get my Instagram account back?

Is there a trace of the Instagram password on my phone?

I have no idea why this is happening.

Yes, I can log in using the browser on my iPhone.

I don't have to even put in my password or username. Seems to be stored somewhere on the phone.

Only the app itself stays inaccessible. I have deleted and redownloaded it several times - still, it does not recognize the correct password.

This has happened once before - I got logged out, and could not log in until it solved itself and I could.

But this time I didn't get logged out. I deleted and reinstalled the app - and then could not log in again.
