iOS 9.3 - Safari/Mail freezes after clicking links on iPhone 6S

Hi,

Never had any problems with my iPhone 6S. Just upgraded to iOS 9.3 without any issues. After the upgrade, I can't click links when searching something on Google in Safari or clicking a link in the Mail, the apps just freeze.

I tried clearing Safari history data/cache, closing all apps and restarting the phone (both regular and holding both home/power key), disabling all sorts of settings form Safari settings, but no luck.. Anyone with an idea how to sort it out?

I have the same problem with mail, Safari, and messages. Links work with the gmail app. Links work in Chrome but only with a long click to get the option to open in a new tab. It appears this has happened before with 9.2.1 but I could not find an answer that fixed the problem. I do not think it started until 24 hours after the update. iPhone 6s+ 128gb 9.3.

Almost a week and no word from Apple except an ad in my mail advertising the iphone SE! I understand that the engineering in these devices is incredibly complex and that this kind of bug is almost inevitable, but some more proactive customer relations would be nice. Tell us you are aware of the problem and give an estimate time for a fix. The lack of clickable links greatly reduces the utility of the device for me, and I suspect a large number of other users.

I my self am experiencing issues with the latest update to iOS 9.3. In my case my phone is freezing or experiencing a major delay on responding when I try to swipe out of an app or when using an app such as messages, maps, mail, eBay etc. Also I notice it freezes/delays when I try to power the device down by swiping the power button on the display screen. I hope Apple finds a fix to this issue as this is disrupting my daily work tasks .

countless other posts about this problem both on this community and on other web sites and in the international press and media

but Apple still give no indication of what they are doing about it and when normality might be achieved.

don't Apple realised the considerable damage this is doing to their reputation!

In addition to browser link dysfunction, my iPhone began losing storied information with 9.2.1 First Siri forgot who my sister and brother are. After 9.3 the iPhone 6+ forgot who I am. I tried to Navigate Home and got told "I do not know who you are so I do not know where you live. Go to Settings blah blah blah..." This is really not too bad Siri had known me and my home location for more than a year.

I don't think PAperson is defending Apple. I think he's trying to be neutral and encouraged others to provide useful usage scenarios. Apple may or may not need the information provided here but it certainly won't hurt to have it for future test case database. There is good amount anger expressed in this forum and through out the Internet on this subject. I hope Apple gets it.

Hi All,

I also have an iPhone Plus and have updated to iOS9.3.

Originally, both Safari links AND Mail links did nothing when you clicked them.

Would also freeze system.

I want to Settings->Safari->Advanced->and switched OFF JavaScript.

This made Safari's Links work - excellent!

I went to my Mail - the links in Mail still DON'T work - very frustrating!!

The weird thing is that my wife has the exact same phone - has just updated (3-days after I did the update) & she doesn't have the problem.

Not sure if her version of iOS9.3 was modified/bug free.

I'm at a loss.

Apple, please help your customers or we'll all have to turn to Samsung?

What are we to do?????

Cheers
