iOS 9.3 - Safari/Mail freezes after clicking links on iPhone 6S

I got the notice from Apple that problem was fixed w release 9.3.1 .

I Installed it while crossing my fingers! Well, let me tell u! Not really! It is NOT FULLY REPAIRED. It did improve but still freezes!

Since I've my temp solution (see posting above) which WORKS, I'll delay using Mail & Safari full blast until it's fully repaired.

My update on iPhone 6s seems to be working so far. Downloaded and installed an hour ago, and links in Safari, Mail, Google etc. working. I'm not installing Booking.com app again though. Thank you for the fix Apple 🙂 Keeping fingers crossed it stays this way.

The new firmware "solves the problem" the link, problem but Safari is not the same it was better with IOS 9.2.3 or the previous firmware before 9.3 ... It's a shame they did not make a downgrade available, ....

I hate this new firmwares ..

Why don't test it in full before launch

I must not upgrade the firmware untill its at least one month old ..

Tomorrow will be a week and still unable to open links in my email and still having freezing issue. I hope Apple has a resolution soon. The restarts, and restores did not help. Apple please resolve soon!!!!😕

Strangely, I have the same problem on my iPad Air. Mail freezes if i click click on a link.

Dear Apple, where's the upgrade which will fix this problem? I have to switch to my computer to look for anything through Safari.

It causes so much frustration, ugh!

I have the same problem too on my iPhone 5S. Disabling JavaScript has so far not worked for me....

That's why Apple released iOS 9.3.1, 2 days ago.

I just switched off JavaScript. Indeed, it didn't work... 😟

You have the problem under 9.3.1?

I don't know. I have still iOS 9.3.

iPhone does not allow me to install the upgrade it due to lack of storage.

It tells me that I have full 12 GB storage while actually the phone has 16GB -_-

If you want to forget this problem you have to update to iOS 9.3.1

Same problem here for me as well.

I resorted to download and install Firefox for iOS - at least if you tap and hold the link you can open a new tab.

But email still doesn't work...email app actually freezes and I have to close it and restart.

The newest upgrade is what caused the problem for me.

Take some apps out, temporarily since it's easy to put back, and update to 9.3.1

THis should really help
