MY Apple Watch has functioned properly since I have had it. Since the update to 9.3 however notifications that I dismiss from my watch still remain on my phone sometimes just for a few minutes sometimes longer, if they disappear at all.

After protesting I had apple send me a new watch. It came and is loaded with 2.1. Everything is working. I am hoping it doesn't update to 2,2 because I have a feeling it won't work again
So an Apple Watch running watchOS 2.1 paired to an iPhone running iOS 9.3.1 successfully dismisses all notifications?
Hopefully Apple will be including fixes with 2.2.1. Clearly there's something amiss!
I Emailed the same senior chat advisor that didn't help me in the past so I don't expect to get a response this time either. I asked if the next update would possibly fix this issue. The only time he did response he said the issue was being forwarded to an engineer. I'm not sure if that happened because he never re contacted me to give me an update like he said he would do. I know my issue with notifications has been around since the last update. Hopefully we'll see a small update in the next couple of weeks that will fix the problem.
YEs. I dont know if it will work when I update and I am not in a rush to find out. Everyone here having this problem needs to get in the phone and be making complaints and demanding they fix this or replace the device. I don't think this is big enough that they've noticed. everytime I call they are shocked that this happens
I've tried several times, but Apple doesn't seem to care. Hopefully it will be fixed with the next update.
Just to update anyone that cares I went to the Apple Store today and met with a genius about this issue. They did nothing for me. The genius said they could sent my watch off and it would be gone for 5 or more business days. I said I have apple care and why can't y'all just give me a new watch and they said they didn't have any in stock. The genius did say that she didn't see where this was a software issue. I've also been dealing with a support advisor and I sent them a video today showing the issue. The advisor said the video would be sent to the engineers. they claim they haven't heard of this issue before. I think the best we can hope for is a software update because I don't think anything else will fix the issue.
I See today that Apple updated both the watch software and iOS software. Has anyone had an opportunity to download the new software? If so did it fix the problem?
I've only updated my iPhone and it has not addressed the issue. I haven't updated my watch yet as it needs to be on a charger and I'm at work so hopefully it will fix the issue once I get home and update it.
I'm skeptical that either update will work because engineers claimed they didn't know anything about this issue.
I've been running today's updates on my iPhone 6 and AppleWatch for the last hour. I can happily report that I'm dismissing notifications on my watch and they are then also being dismissed on my phone and vice versa. 🙂 I was pretty skeptical too after not getting any responses from Apple Support acknowledging the issue even existed.
Okay so maybe the Apple Watch update fixes the problem. You did have issues before with the notifications not dismissing correctly, right? Thanks for the update.
Yes sir. The issue only started when I upgraded phone to iOS 9.3 and watch to WatchOS 2.2 as others reported. Even running the IOS public betas post 9.3 still had this issue which is why I was pleasantly surprised that it has been fixed. It must have been WatchOS 2.2 that was bad. I hated having to dismiss the same notifications on both devices.

So far so good for me today. Updated both iPhone and Watch and my notifications disappear from the phone consistently when I dismiss them on the watch.
Yes, it appears this was resolved with watchOS 2.2.1. So far so good for me today. YAY!
