Apple Watch notifications not dismissing from phone

MY Apple Watch has functioned properly since I have had it. Since the update to 9.3 however notifications that I dismiss from my watch still remain on my phone sometimes just for a few minutes sometimes longer, if they disappear at all.

yeah I'm about fed up with Apple because of this issue. I was told they would contact me 4-6 days after I contacted them. 2 weeks later after not hearing from them I re contacted the advisor. This happened on Friday March 8. The advisor emailed me saying that he was going to check first thing Monday morning, which would have been March 11. Never heard anything from him. I emailed him again and still haven't heard anything. I got with Apple support again this past Friday and they told me to get with the original advisor that I spoke with, which was the one that never responded to my last email. I'm about to trade in my iphone and Apple Watch for Samsung products.

Ok everyone, this is really bizarre. As of today all of a sudden dismissing the notifications on my Apple Watch appears to dismiss them on my iPhone. Neither received an OS update and the apps that seem to be working again weren't even updated last night/today.

I think I might be going crazy but I just dismissed an Inbox notification and a Yahoo Mail notification and both were gone on the iPhone instantly. Maybe it was a backend change (iCloud) that was needed.

Anyone else want to try? I didn't even restart either the phone or the watch btw.

I can't explain why or how but all of today its been working consistently for all my apps. I even waited for a notification to come in, hit power on iPhone to bring up the lock screen - notification was there also. Swiped it/dismissed on watch and watched it vanish on iPhone.

Haven't had any that haven't dismissed today - let's hope this is permanent.

That's the thing, I have no clue. I just noticed that it was working in the morning. Like I said I haven't done anything on either the phone or the watch. It leads me to believe this is a backed Apple server issue since all notifications go through their own service. Maybe when the watch was dismissing it wasn't removing it from the queue, no clue.

I'm also experiencing this issue and have been since updating to iOS 9.3 and watchOS 2.2. I've followed the advice here and reported it to Apple.

However, I have another method of troubleshooting this issue. Before acquiring my  Watch I owned a Pebble, which is also capable of displaying and dismissing notifications from an iPhone. I've used my Pebble for the last three days. EVERY notification I've cleared using my Pebble has cleared from my iPhone, 100% success rate. That, to me, suggests a watchOS bug!

It is great to know that others are having this same problem and it's not just me. Since I updated to WatchOS 2.2 my 3rd party app notifications still show up on my iPhone's lock screen when I previously dismissed them on my Watch. Very frustrating!!! I sent a message through Apple's feedback page like most of you said to do. I feel for all of you and your frustration, and hope that this problem gets resolved quickly!

Since this is an issue and I have major OCD, I decided to remove all third party notifications via the Apple Watch iPhone app. I have no issues with the stock Apple apps getting dismissed. I'm much happier, LOL, but it does diminish the usefulness of the watch. I do like it for my workouts (Gymaholic is good) and steps/health tracking and a few glances I use, but dismissing notifications is a big thing for me.

I had the same thing as Mobilehavoc, where suddenly, for no reason all, app dismissals started working again. This went on for a couple of weeks. But now, for no reason, they stopped working. Very frustrating. Love the Apple Watch for Strava, Gymaholic, ETA, etc., but notifications are one of its core abilities. This needs to addressed by Apple. You'd think with the way their stock is heading they would be trying all fronts to appease customers.
