behind the times

Why is Apple so behind the times, just had an iPhone 5SE and i can't pair to my macbook pro via Bluetooth, i can't believe its this poor. You would at least expect Apple products to pair to each over if not to some third party products.

Does anyone have a clue how i can pair items without a cable?

thanks

I had the same problem, pairing my iPhone SE with my MB 320. Even though I see "Ready for bluetooth..." message, the devices did not recognize each other, until I removed my iPhone from its cover, turned off bluetooth and restarted it. Then things started to work, MB prompts for a pin, (enter pin of your choice) and confirm it on your iPhone. This was done without cables. Hope this answers your question.

This doesn't change the fact that you can't transfer files or sync using BT.
