9.3.1 alarm issue

I did the overnight update to iOS 9.3.1 the other day on my iPhone 6 plus. I didn't wake up on time the next morning because my alarm was turned off in the process of updating.

Here's the big problem. My alarm will not stay on now. If I set an alarm and push save, the alarm shows that it is turned on (slider is green). If I close the alarm screen by swiping up, the alarm is turned off. I can click on clock again, go to the alarm screen, and the alarm I set is turned off (slider is gray).

Anybody else having this problem? Anybody have a solution?

What happens when you set the alarm, turn it on and simply leave the Clock app by tapping the Home button? Force closing apps is not necessary unless an app is misbehaving.

The next troubleshooting steps would be restart, forced restart, restore from back up, restore as new.

I had this problem too... So annoying. I was able to confirm that at least for me it started working as normal if I erased all data and contents and restored as new, but I didn't want to lose my text messages, voicemails and apple watch activity data. Multiple chat sessions with Apple support and a Genius bar appointment were unable to give me what I wanted: a selective restore of my important data while starting fresh. I stumbled upon this piece of software Decipher Phone Refresh ($30 and worth every penny!) that did just what I wanted. I just finished the restore process and so far everything seems to be back to working normally!

Good luck everyone!

I'm having the same problems that ravxc is having.... I've tried restarts, forced restarts, and restoring from new as well as from a back up. When I restore from new, the issue is resolved, but I need all of my data back so when I restore from a back up the issue returns.

Edit: I'm on iOS 9.3.4

Then your choice is to extract the data you need from the back up some other way and sync it back to your phone or live without the alarm clock. What data is it that you need? If you explain, people might be able to provide you with options.

Given that there is corruption in your current data somewhere, it would also be wise to have the data outside of the back up in the event it becomes completely corrupt.
