icloud photo data stuck on icloud.com

Ok, i am totally lost here. I have been trying everything, but nothing helps. As also told in this threat:

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6689057?start=120&tstart=0

I have 3,76GB of photo and video data listed in my icloud.com account. This happend after i made some videos that resulted in a full 5GB icloud.com account.

So, i deleted EVERY photo and video on my phone and synchronised it. Unfortunately the icloud.com space was not released. It still says 3,76GB in use.

The iPhone has NO photo and video data on it. My iPad also has no photo's and video's on it (also nothing listed in settings/usage).

icoud.com also has no video's and photos when i go to photos. When i look in settings on icloud.com, de bar still says 3.76GB of photo and video data.

When i look on the phone/ipad in settings/icloud there is 3,76GB of photo and video data. But there is really noting to see in the photos app. Also the deleted items is empty.

I do have a couple of shared photo albums that i share with some people, but when i count the data there it is no more then 400MB

When i make a new photo, this photo is synchronised to (and visible on) icloud.com and on my iPad. When i delete it, it is deleted everywhere. So this works fine.

I have tried a lot of things.

- As stated in the thret mentioned above. I have set the tima beck two years, went to deleted photos (nothing there) multiple times. Deletes a new photo and removed it. and set the time back to automatic (today). Tried this multiple times, also with a reset of the iPhone.

- Did a full reset and remove data in the iPhone. In stalled it as a new iPhone, activated icloud and starter icloud photo library. New photo's are synchrnised. Old data not.

- Ended up bying the 50GB icloud package. i now have space enough, but still there is 3,76Gb of photo and video data.

- i have a windows pc with icloud for windows on it. The photo's there are also removed.

- photo's screensaver on my apple tv3 is also disabled/logged out.

So i end up with the conclusion that there is 3,76GB of data stuck on my icloud account and i have no way of accessing it. I do not have some sort of root level accedd on icloud.com for my account. This is really realy irritating.

Who knows a way to get this kind of access so i can delete the 3,76GB of data and recover my icloud storage?

Any help/tips ?

Hello,

I have the same problem here

and not just with documents but with iOS backups too

chatted with apple support, called them, they called me (about 50 hours on the phone with apple support in one week), sent feedback to http://www.apple.com/feedback/

and still nothing solved my problem

i deleted almost everything off my account and then asked the person from apple support i was talking to to check my account, she says that when they check my account's storage usage, on their side it show about 600 kbs documents (as in bookmarks, contacts, .. blah blah) and 0 kbs backup, but on my side it shows this

they told me my case is so strange that they have transferred it to the engineering department, but judging after reading these posts, i don't seem to be alone in this and my case doesn't appear to be unheard of. it looks to me like either a bug apple doesn't want to admit exists, or a way to make users buy iCloud storage by making their original allocated storage useless.

so there's no need for anyone to contact apple support or provide feedback, they know the problem exists, and a lot of other posts prove that they've known about it for a long time now. but they're just too busy bragging about how thin they're making the devices we buy instead of fixing it.

Hello,

Unfortunately, I have also this problem since 03.01.2016.

All attempts to solve this brought no success.

Also the support of Apple is informed and can not help since the beginning of January.

With us in the family 4 accounts are affected.

We have now turned off the photo library.

This is very annoying.

greetings

With only 147 photo, my icloud has fulled the storage! I dont know why?

Ok, i found something really weird.

On my Windows PC i turned of icloud photo library. So i turned it on once again and then i clicked the "Download Library" button.

So what happened? The video's that i deleted earlier, that i cannot find or access anywhere else are downloaded to my pc. . . . All the deleted data that is "stuck" in icloud is now copied to my pc.

Now to find out how to really, really delete it :-(

So darn irritated that deleted data appears not to be deleted after all.

The problem is that the data that is downloaded is data that i cannot acces ANYWHERE in the Apple ecosystem. These are already deleted video's that i cannot see anywhere on icloud.com, iPhone, iPad or Mac.

So, this crappy windows software sees the data that Apples own ecosystem cannot see. That's messed up.

So, is there a way to acces this data on any system so that the real deletion can be done on icloud.

Hi,

I have the same issues with iCloud. I currently have 143 photos in my iCloud photo library and it's taking up 3,5GB, which can't be right. I downloaded all photos and each photo is 1-3mb max (taken with iPhone) which is 143*3 = 429 MB in total. No where near 3,5GB!

Some time ago I made some huge video files but I deleted those, as they were eating up all my storage. If I look under iCloud-photolibrary information it says 143 photos and 0 videos so they should be gone. But I have a feeling that they are still there somewhere, I just can't see them, and they are taking up all space.

I even tried deleting ALL photos from my iCloud-photolibrary so it says 0 photos and 0 videos in my iCloud-information but it still said 3,4GB!

Which makes me believe there's a huge bug in the iCloud storage system. Please Apple, fix this!

A quick reply from me. After everything else did not do the trick for me I contacted apple support and explained the problem.

they tried some things but that also didn't help. So the ticke was escalated to higher support. They ended up taking over my account (after asking me of course). I had to reset my password so that theye could connect to the account. And after I had turned of photo library everywhere.

afte a day they asked to try it again and I switched on photo library. Suddenly the videos that I thought I deleted (and that were stuck) were back again.

so carefully I deleted the videos one at a time. This time all went well and they were deleted properly.

After deleting and and emptying the deleted items they were really (really really) gone and the iCloud data was released.

problem solved for me.
