iPad pro 9.7 battery

How much should the battery drain on standby? It is losing about 10% plus overnight. Is that normal?

I've also noticed the battery on my iPad Pro 9.7 in standby time drains overnight fairly quicker then my recent iPad Air. And just as you stated it's draining about 10% each night, when the iPad Air would only drain up to 1-2% on standby time overnight.

Now, I love this new device but I'm very huge on preserving battery longevit. The more you have to recharge a devices battery, the more you use up your total batter recharge cycles. What worries me is the battery in the new iPad Pro will not last me as long as my battery lasted in my iPad Air, by being forced to use more charging cycles. As of now the Air still holds an amazing charge for how long I've had it and both devices are set to the exact same settings and apps. They're a mirror of each other. I still can't let my iPad Air go just yet..lol.

I'm gonna try what you suggest and turn off cellular data in settings and see if I notice a difference in the next couple nights. I'll let everyone reading this know what my results are. Since this is the only form I've found that directly relates to this exact problem.

I've looked into this issue a few times on Apple support, MacRumors and other sources and none but this form has been able to pinpoint this exact issue.

If you recharge your iPad 10%, you've used 10% of a charge cycle. The battery in an iPad is rated to keep 80% of its capacity for 500 cycles.

Plug your iPad in at night and take it off in the morning. Your battery will last you for years.
