Hi,
I´m on an 2009 21,5" iMac and after an update to 10.11.4 WOL over Ethernet is not working. It does over WLAN and as I
went back to an 10.11.3 version and it works there, I think it has to be the update.
Unfortunately I imported and processed a lot of photos being on the new version, and the library doesn´t work with 10.11.3.
Does anybody have a workaround for that problem?

Not responding is normal. Apple will respond if they want more information (which is rare) but a lack of response indicates they already know about it and are working on a fix... or they're just not interested. Either way don't wait for a response because you're probably not going to get one.
Wait for an incremental OS X update, and determine if it's fixed. That's all you can do.

I think I've got a workaround until Apple fixes this issue : we could use some USB to Ethernet adapters that supports WoL fonctionnality.

Something has changed.
I received a notification that bug 26928188 has closed.
After installing the latest security patch for 10.11.6 to (15G1108) the old iMacs 7,1 and 8,1 can now WOL ! 🙂
Please try it and see.
Yes they notified me a couple weeks ago. The fix was put in Security Update 2012-2. I'm waiting until the end of the semester to upgrade all the old iMacs.
