9.7 iPad Pro Restarts, Displays Apple Logo

I am sending my diagnostics. I think it's a hardware and software because I am getting Springboard and full reboot crashes.

Could be. Mine hasn't done a full reboot yet. I still have a couple of weeks to decide if I want to exchange it.

My are bug 298 also if it is a jetsam event you are talking about. I have a lot of different logs but I think the one that is after a crash is jetsam event. I have tried to find out what they are and I think it has something to do with low memory. Is this the same log your looking at.

Sounds like it. I have a jetsam for 298 for every springboard crash. My guess would be that there is some lingering code that is looking for the extra memory on the full size iPad Pro that it can't find on this one and it freaks out.

Just got back from the Apple Store. I was told this is a known issue and will be fixed with a software update.

Who told you this? I went to several Apple Stores and no one knows anything about this issue. It's not even being reported on any of the tech sites. I have emailed Apple and received no response. Where is the QC?

Just had another crash!!

Sometimes things get missed. Hopefully it is true that Apple knows about the issue and will work a fix in. It is annoying but it is just par for the course for all software these days.

There is no excuse for this nonsense.

I went to the Apple Store here in Omaha NE. This is my third trip there and I have also been talking to second tier support. He went and looked at something in the back and came out and said it is defintely a software issue and that it is a known issue. This the first time anyone even acknowledge it could actually be a problem with ios. So far all they have done is make me set up as new then replace it.

MY first new iPad Pro switched to apple logo screen. Began doing it more often. Took it to the Apple store and they said it had a bad processor. Replaced it with a new one (little sad as my husband had it inscribed for me). This new one worked fine for awhile but is starting to do same thing. I dread going back again. Our Apple Store is packed much of the time. Good luck with yours.

My six week olds iPad pro been doing the same thing , had a replacement iPad and that's the same ! Not happy , wot next ? Hope a update fixes it?

I tried to download the latest version of iOS and it won't even let me. Think Apple turned it off if it's crashing iPads?

It is a good thing Apple pulled the latest update - consider yourself lucky. My iPad Pro 9.7 256G was completely bricked after I applied the "update." I went to the Apple store and called support and emailed support. Nobody would actually claim to know anything about the problem, even though it's been on tech and news sites for a week. I am completely frustrated with how this is being handled. I paid over $1000 for this now useless piece of equipment. At this point, my only recourse is to have it replaced, which also means I lose the custom inscription I had put on when I ordered. I've lost a week of productivity due to this snafu and lack of quality control.
