9.7 iPad Pro Restarts, Displays Apple Logo

Mine also does this when switching apps. Feels like a bug.

Sadly setting up the iPad as new wont fix it,either.

done that, been there. Still reboots. It's the springboard crashing and protecting the tablet.

it must be a software issue I guess. I hope!

The more and more I search in various forums the more I realize it's becoming a mayor issue.

Setting up as new did not help. The truth is setting up as new has never fixed an issue for me. I try it because Apple will not do anything for you until you do it but I doubt if it helps anyone. I just know before I go to the Apple store I need to set up as new before they will talk to me about the issue.

My iPad Pro 9.7 32GB is less than 15 days old and has exhibited this behavior at least twice now. I'm up to date on iOS. I suspect it could be a video streaming app that might be causing the iPad to temporarily conk out and return back to normal like a football player coming back to play after a concussion. LOL

To name a few, I have charter spectrum app, Vevo, YouTube, angry birds. Last time, my iPad had a concussion, I was looking at Chyna's (deceased wrestler) images on safari. I also had 5-6 apps running in the background. It would help if everybody here mentioned what they were doing when they experienced the glitch.

Bluetooth was also on and connected to Apple Pencil.

I had this happening about once a day. I took it to the Apple store after I set it up as new per Apple's request and they replaced it. The second one did it again about once a day or so. I was told via online chat to get it replaced again which i did. So far on this one after 5 days I have not had one restart. I hope this one holds up.

Does anyone here knows what's going on? I restored from the backup. I restored as new. Still crashes!!!Apple doesn't seem to have a clue. This is so frustrating. I should have kept my Ipad Air!! It never crashed!

same restart here new 256 att lte random and happens a few time a week. Tried refresh to new no change hopefully it's software as many people are complaining.

I Have a 256 wifi. Crashes everyday. I have a replacement waiting for me. I don't know if I should bother. This *****! I paid 1000 for this p!!

I have exchanged iPads. I have set up as new. I updated to publc beta 9.3.2 to see if that helps but it is still doing this I went about 5 days this time before it happened. I do have a bug reporter app with the public beta so I submitted it to Apple.

Do you really thi that's going to help? Is this a software or hardware problem?

I don't know what to do. Apple just wants to keep exchanging them and that doesn't seem to help. I think it is probably software so I am hoping an update was going to fix it. I just don't think a new 750 dollar iPad should be doing this. It doesn't really hurt anything just very annoying.

Yep me too. I'm not setting mine up as new, I have too much on my calendar, too many documents. Mine happens a couple of times per week. But I also have multiple app crashes per week too, so I am hoping it's just a software issue. Mine usually does the white screen with the logo and then stays that way until I do a hard reset. My husband's new one does similar but his is a dark screen and it resets itself quickly. Mine is pink, his is gray.

Since it's so common, I imagine it's a bug in the software.

How come Apple is denying the issue? This must be reported to to press.

I don't know that Apple is denying the issue per se - just make sure you are sending diagnostics and usage to Apple so they can see the error info. Mine is a bug id 298 every time. What makes you think they are denying the problem?
