For some reason I cannot add freeze frames anymore. I have tried several projects and none responds. Although the FF appears does appear it only has 8seconds and I cannot enlarge it with the change duration facility... Any ideas please?

DDont do that. Don't use managed media, use external media, keep the media out of the library, use one library for one production.
WWorks fine for me. Though I wouldn't.
yes, i am learning the hard way.... I have just noticed that not all the clips allow me to apply freeze frame.... If I copy paste from libraries there are problems
No, no warning. Are you using 4K footage? My video is 1h20 minutes long... this could be a reason...
I Have some. Tested it with 4K. The resolution and amount of media shouks make no difference to the software. No dialog warning? Did you switch it off?
Not that I remember... There are warning messages when the footage is very long. I get a yellow triangle and it often says that there are items missing in the project when I share the project with you-tube... but it has not affected the final project. Let me see if I can show you a Screen shot.
I have just notice that some sections of footage allow for freeze frames and some others do not. I did do a lot of moving footage around from one Event to another by dragging it and maybe they are corrupted...Uff!

My project is corrupted and there are sections where I cannot add freeze frames. I am wondering if I could do the following...
I will delete all the sections that require freeze frames and create sections separately then I will add them to the main project section by section.
Please bear with me, I am a beginner... My question is the following.
Once I remove all the corrupted sections, could I convert the project into a long strip with all the audio etc together so that it would be easier to add the different sections.

Try this instead: select all; copy; create a new project; paste. Usually this works when a project gets corrupted.
The Filter window allows you to search using any criteria you want - name, clip type, keywords, etc
It does not allow me to create a new project. I tried already.
Why does the filter window appear every time I change something?
